College Visits @ LHS

To register for upcoming College visits listed below:

1. Log in to your Naviance Student account .

  • You should be automatically logged if you are in your school Gmail account.

2. Click on "College" at the top, then click on "College Visits".

3. Click the "Register" button next to the College Visit you would like to attend.

4. REMEMBER to go to the scheduled visit in LHS Counseling Office!  Mark it in your calendar so you don't forget.  

5. Ask the staff in the Counseling Office if you have any questions!

Virtual College Financial Aid Night provided by Michigan Department of Treasury’s MI Student Aid Team

Participants will be able to gather information on the following financial aid topics:

  • FAFSA application information
  • Federal financial aid programs
  • State financial aid programs
  • Scholarship searching resources

Infinite Scholars Fair Hosted @ EMU Oct. 12

On Wednesday, October 12, 2022, from 9:00 - 1:00 pm, the Infinite Scholars Program and Ypsilanti Chapter of Jack and Jill will host its second annual Free College Scholarship Fair at Eastern Michigan University. This is a free event for students, parents, and counselors to learn more about the admissions process, scholarships, and priority dates. We have nearly 50 colleges and universities that are registered to attend.

LHS FAFSA Filing Event for Seniors & their Parents

Who:  12th graders and their Parents

What:  FAFSA Filing Event--Come get help from LHS Counselors and MI Student Aid staff to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid

When:  October 27, 2022 from 5:30 - 7 pm

Where:  LHS Room 200

Why:  All seniors should complete the FAFSA if they plan to attend a community college or university in the Fall.  Many colleges and scholarship programs require the FAFSA to be completed.  With the FAFSA, students may be eligible to receive grants, scholarships, work study or loans.  The application is free to apply and could be worth thousands of dollars, so there's nothing to lose and a lot to gain!
