Virtual College Visits @ LHS

To register for upcoming College visits listed below:

1. Log in to your Naviance Student account 
                      * Use your student ID and PowerSchool password to logon*

2. Scroll down to "What's New" and click on "More Info" on the College Visit you'd like to attend.

3. Click "Register"

4. REMEMBER to go to the scheduled visit! They are scheduled during the lunch/activity time on synchronous days and between 10 and 2 on the asynchronous day (Wed) so as not to conflict with any classes.   

5. Ask the staff in the Counseling Office if you have any questions!

Student Panel College Fair

What: Student Panel College Fair, a week-long online event featuring 100+ live Q&A events with current college students

When: September 21st-26th; recordings sent after to registrants

Who: High school juniors and seniors, parents, and counselors

Verto Education's Virtual College Fair

Join us at the first of Verto's national fair series this fall on September 29, 2020 from 6 - 9 pm (next fairs will be held on October 28th, November 17th, December 4th), with national experts in education and 60+ Colleges and Universities! We are limiting attendance for each fair to 5,000 students, parents, and counselors. Come meet with college admissions counselors from your favorite schools, hear from national experts and current college students, attend workshops, and enter for some free giveaways!

Attend a NACAC Virtual College Fair!

 

  • Sunday, Sept. 13 | 12 – 8 p.m. ET
  • Monday, Oct. 12 | 1 – 9 p.m. ET
  • Sunday, Oct. 18 | 12 – 8 p.m. ET
  • Sunday, Nov. 8 | 2 – 10 p.m. ET

FREE! Attend as often as you like. Parents invited, too. Sign up at virtualcollegefairs.org.

What to expect:

  • During each NACAC Virtual College Fair, more than 600 college and university representatives will be available to talk with you and other students!
  • Log in to virtualcollegefairs.org using your phone or computer. It’s totally easy to get around.
  • Select which colleges you’d like to learn about! Sign up to attend their live and interactive Zoom sessions on how to apply, financial aid, student life, and more.
  • You can also schedule a virtual meeting with a college. Just choose a date and time.
  • Don’t know where to start? No worries! Each fair offers NACAC Meet-Ups with information (in English and Spanish) on how to find your best college fit, how to pay for college, and more.

FOR MICHIGAN STUDENTS WITH EXPERIENCE IN FOSTER CARE

Thinking about college? Here’s your chance to hear firsthand from colleges across Michigan that offer programming and supports specifically for youth with experience in foster care! We will have 15 campuses participating in this event including tech schools, community colleges, and universities!

This event is eligible for MYOI stipends--Ask your MYOI Coordinator for more information!
